Annual Poster Contest
The National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) sponsors the annual “Be Money Wi$e” National Financial Literacy Poster Contest.
The contest is being offered as a way to educate and build awareness with our young people on sound money management and financial responsibility. The contest also provides a creative outlet for students to express themselves.
As a member of the NFCC, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern WV hosted the contest in its offices in Southern WV and the West Virginia Panhandles. Entries were judged in three grade categories (elementary, middle, and high) and were judged on expression of the theme, creativity, and art work. 623 entries were received in 2010. Local winning grade category entries were submitted to the National Foundation for Credit Counseling as national finalists. Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern WV and of the Panhandles awarded prizes for grade finalists. The national overall contest winner wins an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC to receive his/her award. Local winners can be viewed below.
